The TEACHER+ course aims at helping teachers to communicate effectively, to manage conflict situations positively and improve their leadership skills, not only in dealing with students but also in dealing with their families and in working with colleagues and non-teaching staff.
The course structure and contents are based on the needs, expectations and suggestions of a sample of 92 teachers interviewed across Europe. From the data collected, the TEACHER+ research team developed a Competence Framework on which basis the TEACHER+ training programme was designed.
The programme can be accessed through the Moodle e-learning platform and consists of:
- a theoretical part made up of original videos and/or podcasts alternating with video resources available on the web (TED Talks and interviews with educators, communication experts, pedagogues and teachers);
- a situational simulated practice game representing critical incidents that may occur in teachers’ daily activities.
The course can be accessed from desktop/laptop or mobile devices and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
